GyroGun:50 Downloads(!) + What now?
Hey friends!
Tyro here.
I just wanted to make a quick announcement...WE HIT 50 DOWNLOADS! I didn't expect much of anyone to really play this game, as most of the people I've seen play it are friends or classmates of mine, which is awesome to see.
That being said, we have the inevitable question of, "What now?"....The making of games, of course!...Well, sorta. Life is getting hectic for me and soon I have to hit up a full-time job, but that won't stop me from experimenting with new ideas in the background. I already have concepts in mind for a roguelike, among other things. Unless something major happens, however, I likely won't continue to update this page.
That being said, if things stay kinda 'dry' on the ideas end, as I have said before, i wouldn't be opposed to adding more onto GyroGun if the opportunity arises. I just don't(as of the moment) have any intent to do so right now. I hope to make an announcement or something similar if I can when I start a new project though for people to try out! Our artist friend, Hannah, has said they can help too, and now I'm aware of a lot of different ways I can do game development differently(and more reliably structured). Programming for one, being that I've learned a LOT in regards to object oriented programming, let alone how to properly code in enemy behavior to actually look smooth, let ALONE all of the polishing Kaiden and I have done for the game's post processing, particles, and so much more. So, it can only mean one thing: The next idea, whatever it may be, can only be an improvement! And who knows, I'll probably end up coming back to this game and make a sequel?
