Greetings everyone, Kaiden here, here to bring you the latest updates on the game.
Rebalanced Pixel-Per-Unit Values
Tyro has finished work with rebalancing the pixel ratios of the objects, leading to more consistent sprite work across the board. The game should be looking much better now, and will appear even nicer as we prepare to add proper backgrounds and other visual finalities.
Explosive Barrels
The way you interact with the terrain will be entirely different when you spot one of these! Sometimes, you will encounter an explosive barrel, able to be moved like a regular physics object when bumped into. However when you (or an enemy) shoot at it, it will explode and take everyone out with it! The explosions can even trigger other barrels, causing a big chain reaction... how much damage can you cause?
We are planning on adding more hazards, as well as other barrel variants, so stay tuned for more news regarding these.
Sound Effects
Of course, alongside the new additions in gameplay, some new and updated sound effects have been added. There have also been some more adjustments to the volume/mixing of certain effects, giving the overall game mix a more consistent sound.
We've added many new additions to our personal agenda, and we're currently in the process of adding some wholly new and exciting features to expand upon the level design, such as teleporters, moving platforms, sawblades, etc... We hope to show these off soon, and bring to you another build in due time.
